Postgraduate course in Industrial Hygiene or Industrial Safety — which is a combination of Mechanical and Environmental Engineering — has got tremendous scope in many multinational companies, said Dr. Sushantkumar, Chairman and Managing Director of NAFS Fire and Safety Organisation. Speaking during with Mr. Sushantkumar, said, “After complete the Post graduate course in Industrial Safety or Industrial Hygiene, students are going to the US/Gulf., they are in great demand in the market.”

Multinational companies recruit them not only as environmental engineers but also as health and safety experts. he said. “For the welfare of the students, I am even ready to send mobile lab once in a month so that students will get updated and exposed more to lab and practicals, which is very much need of the hour.”

The theme of this year’s global alumni meet was to honour the NAFS alumni entrepreneurs who have started their own enterprises.

Among more than 26,000 registered alumni, nearly 80 operate their own company, and 45 to 50 of them are settled in the US.Alumni who have settled not only across the country but also in the US, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries, took part in the meet.

Future programmes planned for students include: award for Innovative Projects; scholarship for the deserving students; various alumni lecture series; mentoring students; helping to get internship during their graduation, and helping the students who go to pursue their higher studies in foreign countries to tag with alumni.
